Hi, world! My name is Sarah and I am a 20-something female just living and loving life. I live in the New England region of the United States and have been working in publishing since graduating college in May 2012. I recently got married to my boyfriend of eight years (yes, that would have made me a sophomore in high school when we started dating). I am so thankful for my relationship with him, his support, and companionship. I really couldn’t be happier. We bought our first house together at the end of 2012 and have been learning the harsh realities of owning a home ever since. With all it’s ups and downs I am having the time of my life. Our house is also occupied by our precious Jack Russell/West Highland Terrier mix, whom is definitely the queen of the household.
A little background on this blog- Lipstick Confidence started as an etiquette guide for young women. I started this blog as a senior in college in hopes to make some sense of the real world in which I was about to enter. It has since evolved into a larger network for women to get what they need- whether it’s an idea for a book to read, a new craft project to take on, updates on current events, a workout revamp, and much more. And don’t worry, that etiquette advice is still there too. It’s a work in progress but I hope that over the next several months, years, decades I can provide an outlet where all women can connect about what’s important to them. There are so many different components to being a confident woman it can definitely be overwhelming and sometimes feel impossible. At least if we know that we aren’t in this alone then maybe it will be a tad bit easier.
